NYC vol 2

Starting from last weekends. Back then I was a little jet lag and naturally woke up early, now I'd kill for the morning sleeps that I can't have. But NY has been so damn awesome that I'm not complaining.

Last saturday had an indian brunch at Queens and watched a movie: "Yes man". Yes! At night went out with Chris and hit east village. Open bar at "Fontana's", beer pong at "13th step", snug into "Webster hall".  For nights out, there's no place like NYC.

Sunday met with Billy and his friends and headed to New Jersey. A chillax day, wine tastings at Alba vineyards and berry picking in huge farms, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, plums, you name it. And it's free to eat whatever you can, what you wanna take with, you have to pay a little.

On our way back stopped to eat at some diner next to the highway. Finally tried sweet potato fries. Coming back to NY, got stuck in horrible traffic and were goofing around in the car for hours.

Starting from Monday off to dance classes!
Advance Street Style Lab 2013

Buddha Stretch, Popin Pete, Marjory, Ejoe, Tyrone Proctor, Tony McGregor, Shan S, Violeta Galagarza etc. Absolutely amazing week, incredible teachers and classes, great dancers all over the world, so much new information, history, inspiration, motivation.. I feel so blessed! It was not just about the dance, it was about true history and culture, about learning! 8+ hours of dance every day, plus all these great events. Two panel discussions with the teachers. Voodoo Ray's "Love is Love" showcase on monday. Jungle brothers concert at Harlem on tuesday and the chillout in Spanish harlem and "Nothing but Flavor" all-day-long jam at Nuyorikan Cafe yesterday. No battles, just jam and cyphers. All styles. Another great great day. Can't brag about sleep hours but it's so worth it. NY is not for sleeping.

Also managed to make it to the CS Weekly meetup on Thursday night. Fun times as always, met interesting new people, took a walk in East village with Daria and her work mate, had a perfect NY cheesecake at night and a shot in the original Coyote Ugly (I absolutely love this movie)! Ended the night with Chris and Nelli in 13th Step (oh nostalgia) with some beer pong and a random epic dance-off.

Jordan vol 2: Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Al Karak, Dead Sea

From Petra we drove a couple hours towards the Wadi Rum desert, headed first to the Wadi Rum village to register ourselves, then left our car at the designated area at the beginning of the desert and met our host who drove us into the desert in his truck.

Pinkpop vol 2, Megaland, NL

Second time at Pinkpop festival (second year in a row, in fact) and still impressed! The weather was a bit more eventful this year, as last year was a complete heatwave. This year, we got heavy rain on the first day, perfect mild, sunny weather on the second day, and back to the heat on the third day.
