Tutunup diaries vol 9

When you find yourself dancing salsa with a bush, then it must be a clear sign, you need time off.

We're most probably done with all the plucking now and back to hourly wages and different jobs!

Tuesday was Marions birthday. Clair cooked some awesome food, we had dinner together and headed to the shed for pool and wine.

We drew Marion a bday card

Birthday-girl!

Wednesday I finally got to see "Hunger Games: Catching fire". It was visually stunning and tragic. Compared to the first movie adaption it is a hundred times better. More real, more following the book and more emotion and heart.

Used our favorite means of transportation for going to the cinema, as it was in Busso - hitchhiking. It proved to be even more successful than ever before. We may possibly have a job in Melbourne, whenever we reach there. At least a decent chance of a good start. Thank you Daniel!

Coming back a guy in a tow truck collected us and said he can take us half way, in the end still dropped us home. Thankfully! It was freezing outside!! Yesterday had all the four seasons in it. Chilly morning, warm early afternoon, unbearably hot late afternoon and a deadly cold evening. He also warned us of creepy people and sharks.

Speaking of sharks. We still haven't dropped our plan to learn to surf although everybody tells sharks are more and more active. Bruce gave us great tips what to do against sharks. Firstly, try not to look like a seal while sitting on the board, e.g: don't wear black for starters. And secondly, if a shark comes just poke it in the eye and it most probably leaves you alone. It's probably better in theory than in practice ("Hey 5-m-long shark, hold on a bit, let me swim around you and poke you in the eye! Well, lets just hope we don't meet any!)

Jordan vol 2: Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Al Karak, Dead Sea

From Petra we drove a couple hours towards the Wadi Rum desert, headed first to the Wadi Rum village to register ourselves, then left our car at the designated area at the beginning of the desert and met our host who drove us into the desert in his truck.

Pinkpop vol 2, Megaland, NL

Second time at Pinkpop festival (second year in a row, in fact) and still impressed! The weather was a bit more eventful this year, as last year was a complete heatwave. This year, we got heavy rain on the first day, perfect mild, sunny weather on the second day, and back to the heat on the third day.
