Dalby and Cunnamulla

We have now left our job at the car inspection. Got decently paid as did heaps of hours and are secured for some travels again. Quitting didn't go as smooth as planned. Our lady boss flipped out, yelled at us and threatened to call the police if we were not out of the premises in two minutes.

Before:

Celebrated Midsummer's Day with home-cooked chicken burgers. (And thought about lighting a fire.. in the kitchen.)

Apparently the kitchen area with these signs on the front door, was for the clients.

Our lovely work-mate Laurie saved us from becoming homeless and we crashed at a farm-house in the middle of fields and forests, about 20 minutes from Dalby. It belongs to his friend Luke who has been in Oz for three years and got sponsored by the people he works for in the farm nearby the house. Both guys are British. Apart from them a young extra-aussie guy lived temporarily in the house. Every time he opened his mouth, it was comedy, sometimes not the best comedy, as he was a very narrow-minded person, but, he definitely leaves an impression. Went to stay for 1 night, ended up staying for 4. Read books, watched football, cooked and cleaned a bit. (Finally saw some of the World Cup!)

Everybody in the house was a massive Game of Thrones fan, why not play a bit of a drinking game.

Dalby!

With best wishes to our former employers. Take a chill pill!

Left Dalby and on our way back to the coast stopped in Helidon and visited Katie and Chris for the weekend. Lovely to hang out with them again. Helped them babysit Max and Gracie and made another cookie-cake. Thank you so much for having us! Up north-east we go now, I'm so over the occasional minus-degreed nights.

Jordan vol 2: Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Al Karak, Dead Sea

From Petra we drove a couple hours towards the Wadi Rum desert, headed first to the Wadi Rum village to register ourselves, then left our car at the designated area at the beginning of the desert and met our host who drove us into the desert in his truck.

Pinkpop vol 2, Megaland, NL

Second time at Pinkpop festival (second year in a row, in fact) and still impressed! The weather was a bit more eventful this year, as last year was a complete heatwave. This year, we got heavy rain on the first day, perfect mild, sunny weather on the second day, and back to the heat on the third day.
