The sum of the little things matter much more than the big things

Estonians are very friendly and open when there's the trigger that pushes the button that makes the emotion pour out. Sophie is a fantastic trigger. Walking her is like being in some socialising hub, everybody wants to pet her and starts a conversation with me. One couple actually stopped their car in the middle of the road and ran around 100 meters into the field to come pet her.

My lovelies!

It was the 20th anniversary of the tragedy of 'Estonia's' shipwreck. For us it was the worst peacetime disaster. A ferry going from Estonia to Stockholm sank in 52 minutes.  852 lives were lost and despite all attempts only 137 people were saved. It sank on the night of 27th to 28th of september.

To think back, I was in town with my mom that evening coming back from a kids play in Tallinn City Hall, I  was 4 and I vaguely remember us standing on the roof of Linnahall and my mom showed me Estonia's biggest ship leaving the port. Little did I know, it was the last time it went sailing off.

Went to see a ballet "Medea"at the National Theatre Estonia

Work is definitely keeping my sarcastic senses up and going, and my crazy list evolving. When I need information from somewhere I try to be a bit prepared at least. We have calls coming in when people speak nonsense, don't know the case number nor anything that's asked from him/her, mainly ask for general legal advice. For which there are attorneys, counsellors, legal aid, or clinics giving free legal advice. There are people who call and say they are right now on the ship from Finland to Tallinn to bring their cat to the vet and while they have some time, should they stop by in court as well? Again, without any introductions.  Also there are people, who during the trial, submit an application to the judge to not wear the gown during the hearing as it is not respectful...

I could not not keep on dancing, but changed style: from street to contemporary. I'm happy and content and more motivated than I've been in years. A couple pictures from a weekend dance camp in Käsmu.

As I was already out of town, visited Liisa and loaded myself with natures energy in beautiful Leesi. Saw a deer when driving there. My last interaction with deers was quite horrific. Drove in utter darkness and missed the deer by an inch. Was on the phone with a friend (loudspeaker), asking for directions and screamed as loudly as possible which probably took away her hearing for a few minutes. This time, it was a smart deer, crossed in advance, stood majestically beside the road and gave me an icy stare.

Sauna, salmon trout - caught by a local from a river nearby, puppies, long walks in the forest and seaside, climbing old trees, discovering deserted cabins in the woods..

Italy June 2025: Treviso, Venice, Milan, Lecco

We bought tickets to see Linkin Park in Milan a while ago. When June was approaching, flight schedules had changed and traveling to Milan had suddenly become quite expensive (there have been times I have flown back and forth with around 30 eur). As weather in Estonia wasn't that great anyhow, decided to take a bit longer vacation. Fly into Treviso and went to Venice. I had been to "mainland" Venice several times before, but never to Venice Beach.
