Oslo, Norway

November 2021.

It was my second time in Norway, last time was almost 10 years ago. Lot of things have changed, also the prices, getting groceries, eating out or even gas for the car did not seem so screamingly unaffordable anymore, which shows well how expensive life in Estonia has gotten.

We arrived at sunset and that was not a bad view from the hotel room!

Stayed at Comfort Hotel Grand Central, a very ecologically thinking and green hotel with beautiful and quite different styling and a great location. It has a co-working lobby featuring a bar; a gym; is connected to Grand Central itself and its bars and restaurants; participates in many charities and tries to make the world a little bit better with the help of its guests and the community. Enjoyed it a lot!

All packed up for -15C!

Oslo Fjord and Oslo Opera house. The new and very contemporary Opera House (Operahuset) is the home of Norvegian National Opera and Ballet since April 2008. You can walk up to the roof. The views are great!

Got some waffles from a very lively and colourful Christmas market. These bonfires with cold temperatures are such a great idea! I cannot see how we would have eaten those waffles outside any other way with 'feels like' temperatures around -20C. There is wood under each fire pit so people can put them in when needed and keep the fire going!

On our first work day we headed to another province - Kirkenaer. Drove there with a rental car, getting out of Oslo was an adventure itself. So many exits and tunnels and roundabouts that google maps is not even sure.

Our second morning also greeted us with snow!

Second day, had meetings in the city with lovely colleagues!

Happy Tiger year!

Jordan vol 2: Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Al Karak, Dead Sea

From Petra we drove a couple hours towards the Wadi Rum desert, headed first to the Wadi Rum village to register ourselves, then left our car at the designated area at the beginning of the desert and met our host who drove us into the desert in his truck.

Pinkpop vol 2, Megaland, NL

Second time at Pinkpop festival (second year in a row, in fact) and still impressed! The weather was a bit more eventful this year, as last year was a complete heatwave. This year, we got heavy rain on the first day, perfect mild, sunny weather on the second day, and back to the heat on the third day.
