Whispers II

I love when people do something meaningful with their talent. Something inspiring for people who need their faith in humanity restored (or at least a bit reassured) and life-changing to the ones who need it the most.  I'm definitely buying this album (well, I would anyway). Seeing him live in Bluesfest last year, is something I'll never forget, also never have I had tears in my eyes the whole duration of a concert.  "the most exciting thing that i need to tell you about is that i’ve teamed up with unicef uk and i’m delighted to say that all of the profits , from every physical and digital sale of whispers two goes directly to helping malnourished kids in liberia. (please check out this link if you want to find out more www.unicef.org.uk .  hopefully this is a win win situation where you guys get a new passenger album and the money you spend on it goes to helping people who really need it ! I ’ll be releasing this record on my own label (black crow records...

Marjory!

This makes me so sad! Was incredible to meet you, learn from you, dance with you! RIP beautiful Marjory!

Bits and pieces

Sophie always does that! At least she is the cutest possible living little alarm-clock. Once she actually started barking at nothing at 7.11 am, my clock was supposed to go off 7.10 but I had forgot to set it, so she saved the day and didn't let me be late to work. A lovely ladies night at a "Radio 2 live"  Why I absolutely adore january/february?? OSCARS! So many great movies and so few time to watch them all. Done a pretty good job tho already. " Boyhood " - at first the 2 hours and 45 minutes seemed impossibly long and then it was gone just like that. Every minute of the movie was necessary. Such a human, simple, relatable, down to earth tale.  " Whiplash " - I adore music so I adored the movie too. Crazy intense, possessing, unexpectable movie. And so much respect for Miles Teller! Especially for playing himself. " Still Alice " - sad, depressing. Saying it was a "good" movie doesn't sound right, ...

Happy christmas!

Snow came just in time and white Christmas it is! It started snow-storming. I had an exam in the afternoon and as it was heavily snowing I just in case left home more than 1,5 hours before. Barely made it.  Reminds me of January 2012 when there was a snowstorm in New York and the city shut down, even the subway stopped working.  There's time for cooking during the holidays! Christmas food (and sweets)! Turkey, pork, lots of cabbage, potatoes with cheese sauce, pumpkin and cranberry sauce! Marzipan-hazelnut truffles Cinnamon roll twists Mini cranberry sauce cobblers We also celebrated christmas with the dance group at Anne-Mari's cosy home.

HOW DO COURT RECORDERS KEEP STRAIGHT FACES????

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while the exchanges were taking place: ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning? WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I , Cathy?' ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you? WITNESS: My name is Susan! __________________________ _____ ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact? WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks. __________________________ __________________ ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active? WITNESS: No, I just lie there. __________________________ __________________ ATTORNEY: What is your date of birth?  WITNESS: July 18th.  ATTORNEY: What year?  WITNESS: Every year.  __________________________ ___________  ATTORNEY: How old is your son, the one living with you?  WITNESS: Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can't remember which....
