Finland, march 2025

Beginning of March, we went to visit our lovely friends and snowboard a little. As they live not too far from Helsinki and we only went for a long weekend, we did not go to the north, but opted for some smaller resorts near Espoo and Kirkonummi. Still more slopes than in Estonia. Also, did some sightseeing and walking around, cooked together and had a great time. Fun fact, we chose the warmest weekend to go, which is not the greatest for hitting the slopes. It was +10 degreed on couple of the days..

Peuramaa ski resort

Also, first outdoors bbq for this year!

Vihti ski resort

Hvitträsk - designed as a studio home by the members of the Finnish architecture firm Gesellius, Lindgren, Saarinen. It later became the private residence of Eliel Saarinen.

Lake Bodom - the notorious site for the Lake Bodom murders in 1960 It's an unsolved homicide case in which three teenage campers were killed and another seriously injured. It also inspired the Finnish band Children of Bodom in their name choice.

The boys cooked us Brazilian and Peruvian food for couple of evenings.

On Sunday, before the boat back to Tallinn, visited some Asian markets, vinyl stores and had a delicious oh-so-filling lunch at Jumbowl noodle restaurant! Another one to remember in Helsinki!
