Put my heart where my head should be

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world’s about to end soon anyway. But those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don’t need to last forever to be perfect.” from a movie - Daydream Nation.

It's a jolly holiday-season! Went to the christmas market with mom after my last exam this year, brought in a christmas tree and bought a lot of cooking material.

I feel so blessed to have a friend with whom after coming home from a party round 4am, instead of going to sleep you start eating candy and drinking cheap packaged wine and just talking!

Also went to the movies: "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" It's no "Lord of the Rings" but it's still good. You can see how much technology has evolved since LOTR. Peter Jackson still has it! It's weird to think it's about 10 years since LOTR. I have them all on dvd.. hide them from me, I don't have time for these 10 hours in front of the tv again, and I have them by heart anyways.

After Christmas Day went to South-Estonia with my mom, visited family friends and enjoyed the winter joys. Went skiing and snow-tubing, after all Otepää is called our winter capital. The next day met Keiu and her brother at Kuutsemäe, which is our best opportunity for snowboarding. Felt amazing to be on the board after a year and try a snow-bike (like a bike, but has skis instead of wheels).

In our last spanish class of the semester, watched "El hijo de la  Novia". An Argentinian movie. The main character is very unlikeable, but the movie is impossible not to like. It's slow-paced, but not at all boring and is really touching.

"Cloud Atlas".  A n epic 3-hour-long movie that seems like an hour tops. And it really is one of these huge and memorable ones, that after it's ended leaves you with a magical feeling only very few movies do. Awesome special effects and truly stunning visually. The cast was excellent, I loved how different characters were played by the same actors/actresses. In the context of this movie, it also gave something to think about. The plot itself took place in six different timelines, it may have been confusing at first but soon making the connections and while slowly understanding the point it became so very clear. It's a cruel world and portraying it so made the film real and somehow believable. In conclusion it was a ride through time and space and I highly recommend it.

Jordan vol 2: Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Al Karak, Dead Sea

From Petra we drove a couple hours towards the Wadi Rum desert, headed first to the Wadi Rum village to register ourselves, then left our car at the designated area at the beginning of the desert and met our host who drove us into the desert in his truck.

Pinkpop vol 2, Megaland, NL

Second time at Pinkpop festival (second year in a row, in fact) and still impressed! The weather was a bit more eventful this year, as last year was a complete heatwave. This year, we got heavy rain on the first day, perfect mild, sunny weather on the second day, and back to the heat on the third day.
