Paris, France

Another work event took us to Paris for a conference and a EU Presidency EJN meeting. Paris is always beautiful! The weather was very spring-like and welcoming. It was obviously hard to fully enjoy the trip as the timing of it fell in the middle of the start of war in Ukraine.

The conference for the 20th anniversary of the EJN civil network.

The views from our hotel: Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, were exquisite!

As it was a EU Presidency event. There was an official dinner organized. A tour was held at Musée d'Orsay and a dinner later in their gorgeous restaurant.

Paris has many awesome museums. I have visited some but would  definitely go back for more. I had not visited. Orsay before. It's one of the most famous museums in Paris. It was established in 1986 and built inside a former Gare d’Orsay railway station along the Seine River. It’s one of the largest museums in Europe. It specializes in the curation of French works mainly from a timeline of 1848 to 1914.

Blue-black-and white for Estonia!

After the dinner they treated us to a lovely bus-tour through Paris when the city was in lights!

On Saturday we spent the day walking around different neighbourhoods of Paris, occasionally sitting down for coffee or bubbly and checking out spots recommended by our local colleagues!

Such an awesome restaurant: "Pigalle". There is almost always a line, but it is absolutely worth it for the prices and for the quality of the food.

Paris Opera House

Such a cool local bar: "Les Caves Populaires"

On Sunday we continued in the same rhythm. Explored Montmartre and spent time in the sunshine until our flight in the evening.

Italy June 2025: Treviso, Venice, Milan, Lecco

We bought tickets to see Linkin Park in Milan a while ago. When June was approaching, flight schedules had changed and traveling to Milan had suddenly become quite expensive (there have been times I have flown back and forth with around 30 eur). As weather in Estonia wasn't that great anyhow, decided to take a bit longer vacation. Fly into Treviso and went to Venice. I had been to "mainland" Venice several times before, but never to Venice Beach.
