October!

"Some say that to believe in destiny is to dismiss the role of free will, but self-determination cannot prevail the presence of faith, and the truth is, the only part of destiny we can control is the fate we choose for another."

It was JJ-Street Baltic Session 2012 on the weekend. International street-dance competitions here in Tallinn. The dancers were fierce and had so much passion, it's inspiring! It just reminded me all over again why I love dance! And the afterparty in a skatepark. The atmosphere was perfect for a street-dance event. Started with our foosball tournament, was awesome to play again, and have to say I can still rock it, if anybody wanna play, I'm definitely up for it! And the vibe was high up. Dancing non stop until 5 am. Soul-train, circles just a lot of enjoying the moment. On sunday morning. Brooklyn-Terry's house workshop. Thank you for the knowledge and the confusing exercises! Been practicing since to get it perfectly into the music!

That's where the gold medals went:
Graffiti - 470crew (France)
Best Estonian Dance Crew - Old Friends Crew
7 to Smoke - Bboy Jimmy (France)
Toprock - Bboy Nico (Russia)
Break 5 vs 5 - Hunters Crew (Belarus)
Propdance - Alper (United Kingdom)
Showcase - Motion Bang Crew (Latvia)
Runway - Venla (Finland)

Vogue - Marina UltraOmni (Finland)

Krump - Eva (Estonia)
Hip-Hop Kids - Beatrice (Estonia)
Locking 2 vs 2 - Patrick & Sharkie (Finland)
Popping - Sheva (Poland)
House - Daniel MP (Sweden)
Hip-Hop 2 vs 2 - Switch & Reeflex (Sweden)

As the judges explained several times it's not about the winning. And in the finals, it often really didn't matter which side won. They both deserved it anyway.

It's almost Halloween, my favourite holiday! Couldn't care less that it is not actually really celebrated in Estonia, it was such a blast in the States last year. Now looking at some of my friends photos, I wish I was in NY now, it's crazy out there. Already made my jack-o-lantern and this Wednesday we are gonna play dress-up and have some fun in the city! Lets make Halloween more popular here!

When there are more than 2 kids at the same time the room looks like this before I can blink, which happens pretty much every time. If I don't wanna clean up this war-zone later, gotta be creative and make the kids interested in "competitive picking-things-up games"

Friday night went to see a movie "Chasing Mavericks". It's touching. LIVE LIKE JAY! Made me even sadder when I read the bio of the main character. It's based on a true story, and it is a beautiful story. What I love about films that are based on true events, is, that they are never cheesy and keep you on edge, it's not someones cool idea turned into a movie, it's someones life. The movie was about the life of Jay Moriarity and how he started his career as a pro surfer. Inspiring movie full of passion making you wanna pull yourself together, stop whining about could-have-beens and what if's and start living. Jay Moriarity was always positive, caring, thankful and had zero ego. By being humble and sincere, one can do so much more than by bragging how great he/she is. If everybody could have just a little bit of his personality and attitude, world would be a better place.

Ibiza, Spain

June 2023 Last time we were on a work-trip to Brussels, decided to take advantage of cheap Ryanair mid-Europe flights and flew to Ibiza for a long weekend. Had been wanting to check this party-hub out for some time. It's dreamy, gorgeous, vibrant, fun and quite expensive. So, in my opinion, a long weekend is exactly a right amount of time to be spent there!
