walk the line

I love that time of the year where there are so many new good movies that there is usually no time to see them all. I have had this tradition for ages that I try to watch all of the best Picture, Director, Actor and Actress nominees before the event. I have´t completely managed for a previous couple of years, but did this year (barely). Watched the most easily accessible one (Roma, on Netflix) a day before. Also, haven´t been able to watch Oscars live for the past two years because of work and whatnot, but as Filmzone was screening it live this year, we decided to give it a go again. It´s so much more special to watch it live. Headed to a friend´s place for a watch party with the last bus on Sunday night and wined, dined, chatted and commented on the red carpet outfits until 3 am. Another long weekend in mid-january 2019. I was last in London 5 years ago, so it was about time to go back. I have done all the touristy stuff on my previous trips to England long time ago, so now when Ryanair offered back and forth flight tickets for 28 euros, 3 days was a perfect amount of time for hanging out with friends.

A weekend cruise to Stockholm in January 2019 to start the year off, as we still had these unused vouchers from participating in Tallinn Marathon in September. 

December 2018. In the end of Austrian presidency headed to Vienna for another EJN network meeting. Also in time for an incredibly beautiful christmas market "Vienna Magic of Advent" at the City Hall Square. It was proper shining fairytale land.
