Milan - Trieste - Rijeka - Zadar

2013NEVERTHELESS!!!

I feel so inspired and full of passion towards life. Met so many amazing people during these past two weeks, only knew them for a short period of time, but it feels like ages. Going to really miss many of them so a lot!

Around two weeks ago hopped on a plane and flew to Milan. First impression was that Milan is a bit dull city, it was hot and humid, and did not look like it could be the fashion capital of Europe. Then again, met with a pretty cool singer-songwriter through Couchsurfing, who showed me alternative places in the town and a little bit of the must-see ones as well, like the Castillo, Palazzo Reale and a graphics exhibition by Guido Crepax inside the gallery, the fashion district... enjoyed the view from the top of a tall shopping centre and some open-air concerts and ended the evening with Milan's special Spontini pizza, some gelato and an artigianale beer from HOP bar. Milan is a little bit like Los Angeles, if you go to the actual centre, full of ambitious young artists. There are singers, dancers, musicians and artists performing on every corner! Most of them are really talented.

Late at night took a train to Trieste and to Rijeka from there, where a friend picked me up and we drove to Zadar. The road went by the coastline, up and down between the mountains and offered some breathtaking views.

Zadar is a little paradise-like city. So chillax and lively, and there are not so many tourists as I imagined,   it offers sight-seeing, a beautiful old-town and a long broad-walk on the coast, where you can jump into the light-blue crystal-clear cooling water where-ever you want.

I ended up working for one week, which was really really busy and useful. And then the summer-school started. Elsa Zagreb organized a summer-school on Human Rights and Globalization for the 14th time. I learned so much, the lectures were interesting and diverse, the workshops we had during the day were  very useful and the mood court on Friday was a great experience.

As our moto was "Work hard, play hard", we are all lawyers here, and lawyers do party hard.. the nights were much fun as well. Went out every night from Sunday to Sunday. And not just sit somewhere, but to explore different places and dance. After dancing a walk to the sea and a night-swim was almost as obligatory. When back in the dorms often talked till it was bright and enjoyed some leftover pizza. Who needs sleep anyway? I loved everything about Croatia and hopefully come back someday. We were all different, but all study the same thing, have similar interests and are all connected through Elsa.

Oh, and PS! Bungee-Jumping CHECK!

Ibiza, Spain

June 2023 Last time we were on a work-trip to Brussels, decided to take advantage of cheap Ryanair mid-Europe flights and flew to Ibiza for a long weekend. Had been wanting to check this party-hub out for some time. It's dreamy, gorgeous, vibrant, fun and quite expensive. So, in my opinion, a long weekend is exactly a right amount of time to be spent there!
