There’s so much to smile about

It was ELSA Day on the 26th of November.

“All different, all together” was the motto.  The ELSA Day was held for first time on the 20th of March 2013. This was the first time in the ELSA history when the entire ELSA Network was working together to realise a unique Human Rights forum, to discuss International and European standards of protection and implementation of human rights. The second edition focused particularly on human rights on the Internet. The third edition emphasizes ELSA’s commitment to social responsibility.

Visited the event in Tallinn, watched a movie "Return to Homs" - a documentary set midst Syrian Civil War; followed by a debate on human rights and wartime rights.

I sent my first ever fax this month. Who still sends fax-s??? Anyway, had to contact a business in Finland at work and had to get our old fax machine  to warm up, once it did it worked like magic. For some reason I never understood fax-machines when I was younger. They seemed like some magical creations on what you can dial a friend 200 km away and they can receive the paper you are right there and then holding in your hand.

Another first. A first dog-show! Sophie is not most probably becoming a regular at these shows, but this one was a special christmas-show for puppies. I was sure my crazy pup is gonna do everything but what she's told, but she proved me wrong and finished third in her set. It was lots of fun (and lots of puppies), I might just do it again.

My partner in crime is back in Tallinn! Celebrated her 26th and had a fun night out in Tallinn. Our city has some quality pubs and NO-99 Theatre holds an event called "dance camp" every month, it's a must if you're not a club-person but enjoy breaking a sweat on a dance floor.

Went to see the National Theatre Live "Of Mice and Men". I'm so grateful for these Broadway broadcasts. An excellent piece. Love John Steinbeck's book and loved this Tony Award's screening. James Franco and Chris O'Dowd are both fantastic. And the classic story of friendship, hope, little things that bring us joy, inequality and struggles of life.

We actually found BRITISH INDIA on the jukebox in Red Emperor's bar in Tallinn. (It has Australian owners)

Ibiza, Spain

June 2023 Last time we were on a work-trip to Brussels, decided to take advantage of cheap Ryanair mid-Europe flights and flew to Ibiza for a long weekend. Had been wanting to check this party-hub out for some time. It's dreamy, gorgeous, vibrant, fun and quite expensive. So, in my opinion, a long weekend is exactly a right amount of time to be spent there!
