Italy: lake Garda - Verona, May 2023

A long weekend to run towards the sun in early April was just what the doctor ordered before finishing the marathon of writing my Masters thesis. Had never been to lake Garda area and now would happily explore the region further!

Flew into Bergamo airport with Ryanair, took a bus to the town and a direct train to Garda area from there!

Such a cute little town: Peschiera del Garda!

It's close to Gardaland theme parks, a ferry stop away to several other towns at lake Garda, just 20 minutes away from Verona and an overall lovely place to be on its own.

There's a long beachline and a lakeside promenade with pathways for walking, hiking or biking with lovely views to the lake.

When in Italy...

The entry to the old town goes through a bridge and through the town’s old Venetian walls, which are a recognized UNESCO World Heritage site.

There's an awesome seafood kiosk near to the ferry stop (just opens and closes at odd hours)

Just 20 minutes by direct train to Romeo&Juliet's hometown Verona!

Even in April, it was a lot of people and the line to Juliet's house for example was insane. It was still lovely to stroll around the historic streets of Verona and enjoy a cold Aperol Spritz on one of the many squares in the old town.

As mentioned, a quick ferry-ride from Peschiera takes you to other beautiful towns like Garda, Bardolino, Lazise or Sirmione.

Also, the towns are relatively close to each other and between the towns there are pathways that enable to walk on the coast from one to another, which I did from Bardolino to Lazise.

   January 2025.

Munich, Germany

Early February, headed to Munich for a concert and a fun couple of days with Inx. We got really lucky with the weather. Although early in the morning we landed in complete fog (as you do apparently every time, you fly to Munich), the days were sunny and quite warm for February. So we walked around a lot, did a lot of window-shopping, some actual shopping, ate and sipped a couple cocktails.
