Innsbruck, Austria

I don't understand people who say they really want to travel, but then don't, and throw bitter comments when someone else does. I mean you want to or you don't want to (mostly). Even money is not really an excuse, it is often more expensive to live on spot, pay rent and bills. I don't have a money tree either, I travel but work at the same time, volunteer, stay with friends or couchsurf, don't eat in fancy restaurants, hitchhike. It's the getting out of your comfort zone and just leaving and not knowing what's gonna be there when you come back. It is scary, I've done it twice and couldn't be happier.

I'm writing this post at an airport in Helsinki. Off to The Commission on the status of Women at the United Nations in New York City. Feels fantastic to go back, it has been too long!

But first, a winter law school on sports law in Innsbruck, Austria.

ELSA is such a wonderful organisation. I feel blessed to have gained so much through it. The knowledge and the places, but especially all these beautiful people I've got to know! Having similar interests, passions and goals with a bunch of people unites. Working hard and playing hard, always.

I could live in Innsbruck.. at least for one season, a winter semester in the uni would be lovely!

On the first day this weather welcomed us. A snowstorm like we haven't had in Estonia this year.

Luckily the rest of the week it was blue skies and more sun than I also have seen in Estonia this year.

The medieval dinner at Ritterkuchl. No forks, we ate like they ate in medieval times, and all the rituals that go with the dinner.

The beaver was on the wall, until it attacked us during dinner. The waitress had previously mentioned to us that she doesn't trust lawyers, the incidence made her even more suspicious as she was sure we took the beaver down.

A full day in the mountains. Great slopes!

Testing Natalies selfie-stick.

I've never been on a scarier slope, and there was no other way down. Usually I love black slopes, but that was crazy.

Apres ski!

I think we recreated Ellen's Oscar selfie pretty good.

Cloud 9 - a club inside an iglu 2000 meters from the ground!

Innsbruck Bergisel Ski Jump for the 1964 and 1976 Olympics

Dance like no one is watching. Thanks for the fun week guys!

Ibiza, Spain

June 2023 Last time we were on a work-trip to Brussels, decided to take advantage of cheap Ryanair mid-Europe flights and flew to Ibiza for a long weekend. Had been wanting to check this party-hub out for some time. It's dreamy, gorgeous, vibrant, fun and quite expensive. So, in my opinion, a long weekend is exactly a right amount of time to be spent there!
