Perth vol 2: beach life

WE HAVE A JOB!! So yesterday was time to celebrate!! Business first, tax numbers and bank accounts and whatever you need for working for Australia. God they're slow. We spent far more than a hour in the bank.

Ran into one of our current housemates Matt and headed to Claremont for an italian brunch. Heavenly veggies and pizza. Later to to the beach and fishing. We caught three!!! Let two back to the water, but as Matt is also a chef, he cooked one for dinner, inside a delicious potato-cake, with some salad. A carved pumpkin sitting on the front porch, we got some trick-or-treaters over too. Lots of kids were running around trick or treating, but a few of them were actually dressed up. Halloween in Aussie still does not come close to how it is celebrated in America. After some drinks, a spontaneous idea led us back to Claremont to a Halloween-party. The most random music choices, but so much fun. The drinks are abnormally expensive tho. (pitchers are the best option!) Ended the night at the beach again and even managed to have a skype session with family at 2am. We are leaving Perth on sunday and will go 200 km down south to a town called Capel. Internet may or may not be common there, so if we disappear, that's why.

PS! Perth has the most beautiful sunsets I have seen. A friend said this is one of the main reasons he came back to Australia.

Ibiza, Spain

June 2023 Last time we were on a work-trip to Brussels, decided to take advantage of cheap Ryanair mid-Europe flights and flew to Ibiza for a long weekend. Had been wanting to check this party-hub out for some time. It's dreamy, gorgeous, vibrant, fun and quite expensive. So, in my opinion, a long weekend is exactly a right amount of time to be spent there!
