C.O.H.H

Camp of Hip Hop 2012 just ended, I don't know why but my emotions after are not as high as they have been every year before, I'm not sure if something was really missing or I just wasn't fully there.  Anyways, it was still an awesome week, many incredible and world-famous dancers all over the globe came to a small town in Estonia to share their knowledge and love of dance with us. Got a lot of knowledge and loved all the classes! The themed nights were not fully thought through in my opinion and the vibe at the parties could've been tighter.

France, Youth Project: European identity as means of social inclusion

I had my doubts in the beginning, but it was an excellent experience. We were not just participants or group leaders, we all were in a way also the organizers and modelers of the exchange. As it was by a volunteer organization, we had a lot of freedom, and I really believe in the end the work we did, matters.

Norway

Beautiful Norway for a week.   Oslo - Bergen - and lots of nature July 2012

Don't let the bastards get you down

Just got back from Tallinn's rooftop cinema. Such a nice invention, the vibe of that place is awesome. An open air movie theatre on top of a shopping centre. Instead of cinema chairs there are beach chairs, as the movies start a little before midnight and the nights in Estonia are not usually the warmest, blankets ara available to keep warm. Everybody has their own headphones, the sound is not bad as well.  The movie we went to see, was brilliant! " The greatest movie ever sold ". A documentary about branding and advertising. About product placement. About making a movie totally financed by different brands. Made in a really original and clever way. It's by Morgan Spurlock (also the author of "Supersize me"). This dude is a genius! The movie itself was pretty much marketing 101, but, if you are interested in the topic, you might learn more than in a lecture. To balance things out, there is a lot of humour in there. Irony on top of irony!  It's basically...

Falling from cloud nine

The past two months have been incredibly confusing for me, I do not want to sound too over-dramatic, but I see everything in a somewhat new light.. I have always had at least kind of a plan, now I don't have a clue. I know what is out there and I want to discover more, take risks, take chances. Some things that seemed so important before, seem so small now. I wanna succeed in life, but I do not think career is the most important. I do not want to feel I'm wasting time, I want to be useful, but not used, I want to have the excitement, I don't want to do anything half-way and have regrets. I have missed dancing, A LOT! Participated in a "dance marathon". Our studio organized it during a family day of Tele2. All the competitors had to dance for 1 whole hour non-stop to all kind of music. Lot of show and a lot of fun.  And yesterday there was the Camp of Hip-Hop warm up jam for the dance camp in July.  Weekends full of dance cannot disappoint. Movie minutes...

Back in Estonia

It has been pretty weird being back after a long time. Trying to make the best of it.

Not the way that it should end, it's the way it should begin

Krasimir's leg got a little worse, so me and Christina helped Kane drive the rental cars back. I got pulled over by a cop. He was a real country-town sheriff. I had a license but I couldn't even find car registration from Kane's car. He kept chatting with me for 10 minutes and decided I don't need a ticket! Thank you!! Headed to DC, to do some dance related work again with my dance group from NY. Was a nice trip apart from my wallet getting stolen on a bus. F you thief, I had everything important in there! The conference was good, the performance went well. Also, met up with Anett for dinner, I hadn't seen her for 5 years, when she last was in Estonia. Coming back after a couple of days, stopped at Krasimir's place, helped him clean up and chilled there for a while. It was Tim's birthday, so we went for dinner to a Texas roadhouse. Driving there, had 10 people in one car.. and the cops stopped us. I feel like it's a little bit too many interac...

So much to feel good about

NYC:   Tuesday was the first time for me to sing in a while, and did it with a live band. Went to Brother Jimmy's with Gabby to have a southern dinner and discover some cool cocktails. Swamp water - a cocktail that comes in a fish-bowl, and has crocodiles in it. Wilson (Usa) was playing guitar in the live band, and we sang some Green Day with the girls, and later some Bon Jovi with Fernando. After the gig went to Brooklyn with Gaby and Wilson, played pool for quite some time and ended the night at his place, with Modelo Especial and his delicious home cooked pasta! Before leaving to Morgantown for another long weekend, had to say goodbye to Jihye as she is going back to South-Korea today, I'm gonna miss her so much, should start planning a reunion NOW! MORGANTOWN:  During 4,5 days in Morgantown were tripping around so much, that to watch back the pictures now, seems like it was a month. There just is something magical about Morgantown. L...
